Hello and thanks for stopping by. All the photos were taken at Homer, Alaska March of 2009. This is during the winter feeding time on the Homer Spit when Jean Kenne feeds the eagles. This was truly a unique experience to be in such a place and amongst so many eagles and to be so close.

Jean Keene also known as the "Eagle Lady", passed away on January 13, 2009. As controversial as it was to some Jean Keene cared and fed the eagles for approximately 30 years. It was truly spectacular to see so many eagles up close and personal in one place at one time. Jean will be missed...

POLAR BEARS OF CHURCHILL, MANITOBA 2008 :
Hello and welcome to the world of Polar Bears. All the photos were taken at the Churchill Wildlife Managment Area in Churchill, Manitoba. This truly unique experience must be a part of anyone's vacation plans in the near future. I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Hallo Bay Adventure Company for the "Churchill Polar Bear Adventure Tour" out of Homer Alaska. If anyone is interested in viewing the polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba, I highly reccommend contacting Hallo Bay for an experience you'll never forget also be sure to check out National Geographic Polar Bear Cam.

All of these photos can be purchased through smugmug, who uses EZ Prints, a professional lab in Georgia that uses true continuous-tone printers to produce same image crispness, highlights and shadow detail.

I also want to give a special thanks to Glenn Hopfner who happened to be our Tundra Buggy driver during our four days on the tundra. Glenn made sure we had the right light and lots of bears to photograph. Glenn is also an accomplished author and has written several books. One in particular is called "Tales From The Tundra". The book deals with Glenn's unique perspective as a buggy driver for over 9 years on the tundra. If you have a chance to find his book, give it a read and it will enlighten you as to what you are missing in Churchill, Manitoba.
