Landscape : Most of the images have been photographed in and around some of the beautiful National Parks in the western part of the United States. Some special points of interest are areas like Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park , Grand Canyon National Park and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. in Tennessee and North Carolina. Polar Bears Of Churchill, Manitoba 2007 : Hello and welcome to the world of Polar Bears. All the photos were taken at the Churchill Wildlife Managment Area in Churchill, Manitoba. This truly unique experience must be a part of anyone's vacation. I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Hallo Bay Adventure Company for the "Churchill Polar Bear Adventure Tour" out of Homer Alaska. If anyone is interested in viewing the polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba, I highly reccommend contacting Hallo Bay for an experience you'll never forget also be sure to check out National Geographic Polar Bear Cam. I also want to give a special thanks to Glenn Hopfner who happened to be our Tundra Buggy driver during our four days on the tundra. Glenn made sure we had the right light and lots of bears to photograph. Glenn is also an accomplished author and has written several books. One in particular is called "Tales From The Tundra". The book deals with Glenn's unique perspective as a buggy driver for over 9 years on the tundra. If you have a chance to find his book, give it a read and it will enlighten you as to what you are missing in Churchill, Manitoba. American Bald Eagles of Homer Alaska 2009 : Hello and thanks for stopping by. All the photos were taken at Homer, Alaska March of 2009. This is during the winter feeding time on the Homer Spit when Jean Kenne feeds the eagles. This was truly a unique experience to be in such a place and amongst so many eagles and to be so close. Jean Keene also known as the "Eagle Lady", passed away on January 13, 2009. As controversial as it was to some Jean Keene cared and fed the eagles for approximately 30 years. It was truly spectacular to see so many eagles up close and personal in one place at one time. Jean will be missed... Fairbanks, Alaska 2009 World Ice Art Championships : This is the 2009 World Ice Art Championship held in Fairbanks, Alaska. Artist from all over the world come to Fairbanks and compete in several catagories of ice sculpture. For more information on the annual event you can go to www.icealaska.com and learn about the competitors and the overall event as well. Some of these photo's do not give some of the sculptures true justice in respect to the size of the pieces. The only way to get a real feel for this event is to go there and see it first hand. Alaska Iditarod 2009 : These are just a few of the photo's I took during this years run of the Iditarod restart in Willow Alaska on March 7, 2009. This event is truly amazing fro both musher and dogs and the whole time I was taking pictures all I could think about was, these teams have over 1150 miles yet to go. This is truly a spectacular event and if one ever gets the chance to see it in person you will never forget it. Blk and Wht from around the World : These are images that I took while spending some time in the Middle East over a period of four years. Even though the original image was in color, I really felt that black and white seem to fit some of the images. Most of the images with children where taken in Pakistan at a Afghanistan refugee camp out side of Islamabad. Despite the living conditions of these people, the smiles on their faces seem to tell a different story. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Mountain Streams and Water Falls : All the following water falls and mountain streams were photographed in and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Some images were taken in the early spring and the other were taken in the the fall where the colors were spectacular.
